make sure a stable connection to the Internet is established.

⚠️ Depending on your IT infrastructure, it might be necessary to register the MAC address of the yellow box (written on the bottom of the box) for Internet access.

⚠️ Only the yellow box needs access to the Internet to receive print jobs. The printer itself does not need to be registered as a local printer and no print drivers need to be installed.

Troubleshooting printer connection

Please have a close look on the three lights of the yellow box to figure out what is going on.

All lights are on

All LEDs on

Ready to print!

All three lights of the yellow box are constantly lit (only “Status” light flashes every three seconds).

All lights are off

All LEDs off
There is no power.

Make sure both ends of the USB cable are securely connected. If the problem persists, try using a different micro-USB cable and power adapter.

“Printer” is blinking

Printer LED blinking

The yellow box doesn’t connect to the printer.

Make sure the printer is turned on (green light on) and the yellow ethernet cable between the yellow box and the printer wis well connected on both ends.

“Server” is blinking

Server LED blinking

The yellow box cannot to the Internet.

Make sure the Ethernet cable between the yellow box and the port on your wall is well attached on both ends.Try connecting to a different Ethernet port and restart the yellow box as described above. If the LED is still blinking, proceed to the next step.Connect a PC/laptop to the same Ethernet cable and verify that it can connect to the Internet (e.g., by searching for something on Google). If you can access the Internet with the computer, ask your IT department to allow the yellow box to access the Internet (e.g. by registering the MAC address, which can be found on the back of the yellow box). The Yellow Box uses the standard HTTPS protocol (port 443) and access can be restricted to fluics.com (including subdomains) if necessary. Basically, the yellow box communicates with mqtt.fluics.com, whose IP should be resolved by the local DNS (usually available via UDP). So it needs these two connections to be available.
